JIANG Qiong Er, a former student in interior architecture, is constantly surprising us. Beyond any categories, she ignores the constraints of genre and is led by a talent that took her to unsuspected fields.

From furniture design to fine jewels design, from painting to photography, she turns to different forms of creation following her inspiration and the emotions she wants to express.

Born in Shanghai, JIANG Qiong Er grew up in a family of artist-creators. Her grandfather JIANG Xuan Yi who later went abroad, belonged to this generation of Chinese painters born in the century at a time when European and American artists were undertaking the ? Journey in Orient ?, he was himself inspired by western techniques.

Her father, Xing Tong He, is the architect of the Shanghai Museum. JIANG Qiong Er was initiated into traditional painting when she was two years old and later became a student of the painter Cheng Shi Fa and the calligrapher Han Tian Hong, two leading figures in traditional Art. She then joined the prestigious TongJi University to study design. Truly opened to the outside world and looking forward to enrich her style with new influences, she chose France and the Decorative Arts School of Paris to make her first steps as an artist. This choice completely changed her life.

ˇ°France touched me, I deeply felt this country. A part of my heart is still linked to the French culture and to its people's way of life ˇ±. JIANG Qiong Er found in this double culture an eternal source of inspiration. Her work mingles techniques, intermingles references and bridges provocative traditions with a modern language.

Gaining recognition and popularity as a designer and an artist, JIANG Qiong Er, who spends her life between Shanghai and her Parisian workshop, exhibits at galleries in numerous countries. In both her design and her painting, the fluidity of lines balances the density of the colors; the elegance of the forms unveils the originality of the materials she chooses.

Fusing Asian aesthetics' abstraction and the strength of western materials, her creations, beyond appearance, commits to a strong spiritual mind. As an inspired artist, she builds with light her very personal universe, full of poetry.

Dynamic and opened to artistic exchanges, JIANG Qiong Er recently opened on the banks of the Suzhou River two original venues dedicated to creation. In a 1 000 square meters gallery, NˇăD Suzhou River Gallery Creation combines modernity and Chinese traditions through design whereas in her workshop on Moganshan lu, she shows more audacious and inventive jewels and crafts creations.
