The artist and designer JIANG Qiong Er who spends her life between Shanghai and Paris has opened in June 2004, in her native city of Shanghai, a unique place dedicated to creation and interior design. Within a gallery of 1 000m2, situated by the mythical Suzhou River, she organized a meeting point between contemporary art and Chinese tradition. As an inspired painter and talented designer, this young artist, who comes from a famous family of architects, was also a student of two of the greatest Chinese masters of calligraphy and painting: CHENG Shi Fa and HanTian Hong. With her great expertise in art and Chinese folk traditions, she shares with us her aesthetical choices through an amazing selection of objects and ancient or contemporary furniture, witnesses of a country that does not stop to surprise us. Conceived as a modern and friendly place, N¡ãD gallery offers to its visitors a multitude of services and activities. In addition to its permanent exhibitions where the object mottled deep in the interior of Chinese provinces are mixed with audacious creations that JIANG Qiong Er realized with noble and innovative materials. N¡ãD has a salon de th¨¦, a library and a projection room that the visitor will be able to enjoy. JIANG Qiong Er wants to contribute in the promotion of cultural exchanges and give a better understanding of the Chinese world, N¡ãD organizes all along yearly exhibitions, conferences-debates and other events with artistic characteristics.
